Raminder Singh Wins Main Event for $486,353

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood concluded its 2024 Lucky Hearts Poker Open (LHPO) on Tuesday, Jan. 23. In the headliner event, Raminder Singh of Delray Beach, Fla. bested 1,188 entries to take home $486,353 following a three-way deal.

“It feels really great, I don’t really ever play any big tournaments that go into the week. I need to have a pretty fine schedule to skip all my work and play, so normally I don’t play these. But this time my friends, they convinced me to play in this. This was the time to play. I’ve been in good form, I’ve been playing well, I couldn’t miss this tournament,” said Singh.

The $3,500 LHPO finale boasted a final prize pool of more than $3.8 million, easily exceeding the $2 million guarantee. The last 149 spots were all paid a minimum of $5,900 for a min-cash.

The 52-event LHPO kicked off on Thursday, Jan. 11 with the $600 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (NLH) opener. With 3,212 entries, the event exceeded the $1 million guaranteed, creating a total prize pool of more than $1.6 million. Kevin MacDonald (Canada) won the opener earning $250,420 after the final two players agreed to a deal to end the tournament and split the remaining prize pool.

·       Alex Foxen (Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y.) winning the $25,500 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) for $426,075

·       Steven Bennett (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) winning the $400 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) for $32,658
