Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida announces its partnership with Charity Series of Poker and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. to host the “Larry Frank Memorial Event Benefitting the Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida.” The event will take place on Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. during the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. 

Larry Frank was a member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Before he passed in 2021, he worked for Seminole Gaming and Seminole Hard Rock Support Services for more than 25 years in various roles including General Manager of Poker Operations at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and General Manager of Seminole Casino Classic.

The “Larry Frank Memorial Charity Event Benefitting the Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida” will feature a Texas Hold ‘em tournament, with a $300 buy-in. The First Place winner will take home $5,000 cash plus a seat in the $3,500 WPT Poker Showdown Championship starting on Friday, April 28, courtesy of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. The silent auction and cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Salon East, and the tournament will begin at 7 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. Local poker legend Mike Mizrachi will be in attendance along with fellow poker pro, Anthony Zinno.

All net proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida. Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness.
