Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Supports American Cancer Society as Title Sponsor for the Making Strides of Broward Breast Cancer Annual 5K Walk

Resort to support charity with PINKTOBER specials throughout October

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is supporting breast cancer awareness this October with numerous on-site and off-property initiatives, including serving as the title sponsor of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides of Broward breast cancer annual 5K walk.

As the title sponsor of Making Strides of Broward, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood has donated $50,000 to support and help build awareness of the organization’s lifesaving mission. The Making Strides of Broward annual 5K walk is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27, at 8:30 a.m. at Huizenga Plaza in downtown Fort Lauderdale. In addition, guests can also show their support for the fight against breast cancer by visiting the resort throughout October and taking advantage of its PINKTOBER specials. In support of breast cancer awareness, the resort will feature pink accents throughout the property, which includes pink ribbons illuminated on the casino floor. Additionally, hotel guests can spend the day lounging at the pool in an exclusive PINKTOBER poolside cabana, where 20 percent of each rental will be donated to American Cancer Society.

Food & Beverage

As part of PINKTOBER, guests can indulge in specialty drinks and bites while supporting a great cause. PINKTOBER drink specials include a Royal Orchid available at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood; Watermelon Mist at Center Bar and on the casino floor; Pink-ish Punch at L Bar; Watermelon Moscow Mule at Beach Club and Pink Margarita at Blue Plate. The resort’s Japanese restaurant, Kuro, will feature its sweet cocktail Ni and Seared Salmon Sashimi dish, in addition to Mochi Cake and Seabass Miso. Raspberry Lemon Macaroon Stack will be available at Constant Grind and in-room dining. A $1 donation from each item sold will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Rock Spa at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino celebrates PINKTOBER with a variety of specialty PINKTOBER services with proceeds benefitting breast cancer awareness. Services include a relaxing Swedish massage with pink passionfruit aromatherapy, a rejuvenating pink rose petal facial, invigorating pink lemonade body scrub, hair wash and style with pink hair extension featuring a special gift, pampering manicure and pedicure with a special PINKTOBER take-home polish, and a makeup application featuring a limited edition pink American Cancer Society candle. Rock Spa will also highlight a selection of new pink retail products, sold throughout the month.
