(May 7, 2018) – Comedian Amy Schumer and her hilarious friends are coming to Hard Rock Live at the Event Center at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. on Friday, Aug. 31, at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 11, at 10 a.m. American Express cardholders can purchase tickets beginning Wednesday, May 9, at 10 a.m. Fans can access presale tickets beginning Thursday, May 10, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Cell phones and other mobile devices are prohibited for this show to create the best distraction-free environment for all in attendance. Mobile devices must be held by guests in locked Yondr cases during the performance. Yondr cases are lockable, flexible, neoprene pouches that assure a phone-free event experience. The show’s content is intended for mature audiences.
Amy Schumer has become one of the entertainment industry’s leading forces as a standup comedian, actress, writer, producer and director, and this summer, she’s taking her friends on tour. Friends will include Bridgett Everett, Rachel Feinstein, Mia Jackson, and other special guests (guests will vary by show and subject to change). Schumer also announced that she will return to host “Saturday Night Live” alongside musical guest Kacey Musgraves on May 12.
Schumer most recently stars in the hit comedy, “I Feel Pretty,” and can also be seen on the big screen in “Snatched,” the mother-daughter comedy opposite Goldie Hawn; a drama about PTSD in soldiers “Thank You For Your Service;” and Universal Pictures hit “Trainwreck.” “Trainwreck” dominated the 2015 summer comedy worldwide box office and was nominated for two Golden Globes including Best Actress, Comedy or Musical, as well as Best Picture, Comedy or Musical.
Schumer’s latest one-hour comedy special titled “The Leather Special” is currently streaming on Netflix. Her one-hour HBO comedy special, “Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo” directed by Chris Rock, premiered on October 17, 2015, and was HBO’s most watched Saturday night comedy special debut. In 2016, Schumer became the first female comedian to ever sell out Madison Square Garden in New York City. Schumer has won the Pollstar Award for “Comedy Tour Of The Year” in both 2015 and 2016. Upon entry to the venue, guests with mobile devices will receive Yondr cases and must secure their devices, including smart watches and cameras, inside the locked cases. Guests will be required to switch their phones to vibrate to avoid disruption from incoming notifications. It is the responsibility of each guest to maintain possession of their mobile device inside the venue. Doors will open 90 minutes prior to the start of the 8 p.m. show to allow guests ample time to secure their devices and take their seats. The pouches will be unlocked at the end of the show. If needed, guests will be able to use their phones at designated areas.
