Council Oak Steaks & Seafood Makes Its Move: Award-Winning Steakhouse to Take Up Residency in New Space

Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Hollywood has delivered a sophisticated, fine-dining experience to visitors and locals alike for more than 13 years. As part of the resort’s $1.5 billion property-wide expansion, the restaurant has temporarily closed to relocate near the new Hard Rock Event Center. Council Oak will reopen on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Council Oak will continue to offer its award-winning menu, served with the same hospitality and dedication to excellence that has made it the preeminent steakhouse in the region for over a decade. Diners will be able to choose from a variety of 100% USDA prime dry-aged cuts and chops, and fresh seafood selections. Some of the highlight dry-aged cuts will include the 24 oz. Bone-In Ribeye; 21 oz. Bone-In New York; and the Porterhouse, available at 24 oz. and 48 oz.

To continue giving guests varied options, Council Oak will now also offer a selection of hearty Italian dishes including Veal Chop Parmesan; Broiled Whole Branzino with puttanesca sauce; and Whole Maine Lobster Zuppa di Pesce with shrimp, clams, mussels, scallops and fettuccine in a tomato broth.

For those looking to mix and mingle, the bar and lounge experience will offer a sophisticated, social vibe in a comfortable setting. Guests can enjoy live entertainment while sipping on classic and modern cocktails. Beyond its food menu, Council Oak has always been an oasis for wine lovers with its extensive catalog of more than 400 wine selections from over a dozen countries, as well as premium, ultra-high-end and rare spirits.

Designed by Blueplate, the restaurant design division of the acclaimed Wilson Associates, the 150-seat dining room will feature a 14-seat bar and 20-seat lounge evoking classic steakhouse luxury in a modern setting. The darker overall palette of the dining room is enhanced by pops of color and eye-catching light fixtures. The restaurant’s focal point will be an impressive glass wine cellar housing the restaurant’s extensive selection of varietals.

“We’re very excited to unveil Council Oak in its new location at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino,” said Justin Wyborn, vice president of food & beverage. “A major part of the property’s expansion is innovation within our award-winning restaurants and lounges. Council Oak’s residency is part of that, and we know fans and newcomers, will find much to love.”

When Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s expansion is complete in 2019, Council Oak will make a final relocation to a new wing of the iconic guitar-shaped tower.

The news of Council Oak’s relocation comes on the heels of another exciting revelation at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – the launch of Hard Rock Signature Brunch, offered every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kuro.

Council Oak is located at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at One Seminole Way in Hollywood, Florida.
