Hollywood, Fla. (March 5, 2018) – KC and The Sunshine Band will perform at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. at the resort’s new Hard Rock Event Center on Friday, July 20, at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 9, at 10 a.m. American Express cardholders can purchase tickets beginning Wednesday, March 7, at 10 a.m. Fans can access presale tickets beginning Thursday, March 8, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

KC and The Sunshine Band’s latest single, “Movin’ Your Body,” was released on June 2, 2017. Written by Harry Wayne Casey – “KC,” for short – the song reached No. 46 on the Billboard Dance Chart, giving him his fourth consecutive charting single.

“With all the tension in the world right now, I wanted to write a song to help people escape and leave their worries behind,” said KC. “I want people to get onto the dance floor and shake their booty, like we did in the old days and are still doing today.”

KC developed a unique fusion of R&B and funk with a hint of a Latin percussion groove that has garnered nine Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards and an American Music Award. Formed in 1973, the band’s purpose was to create instant happiness through music. KC and The Sunshine Band has done just that, topping the charts with singles including, “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “Get Down Tonight,” and “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty” and tallying worldwide sales of more than $100 million.

The band’s album, “Feeling You!” was released in 2015. This album is a tribute to the era that molded KC into the revolutionary artist he became in the 1970s, becoming acquainted with the world around him. Just like the rest of America during that time, he was shaped by the music, conflicts, innocence, sex, social and political movements and counterculture of the era, which led to the founding of the Dance Revolution and teaching the world how to boogie.

Tickets cost $70, $60 and $45. All seats are reserved and available at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.myhrl.com, www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone: 1-800-745-3000. Doors open one hour prior to show start time. Additional fees may apply.
