Chris Rock Brings “The Total Blackout Tour” Back to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Friday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m.

Hollywood, Fla. (Dec.14, 2017) – Grammy and Emmy Award-winning comedian, actor, director, writer and producer Chris Rock returns by popular demand after his two sold out shows at Hard Rock Live in March 2017. Rock brings “The Total Blackout Tour” back to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood as the only tour date in Florida on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at 8 p.m. Fans will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook and Twitter pages. American Express cardholders can purchase tickets beginning Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. As with other venues on the tour, cell phones and other mobile devices are prohibited, and they must be held by guests in locked Yondr cases during the show.

“The Total Blackout Tour” is Rock’s first tour in more than nine years. Lauded by peers and critics alike, he is considered one of our generation’s strongest comedic voices and he has created many memorable moments.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Rock has enjoyed ongoing success in both film and television. In 2014, he led the ensemble cast of “Top Five,” a critically acclaimed comedy feature that he also wrote and directed. In 2009, Rock ventured into the documentary world as a writer and producer of “Good Hair,” and in 2014, he executive-produced “Eat Drink Laugh: The Story of the Comic Strip,” a documentary recounting the history of one of New York’s most famous comedy venues. His feature acting credits include the “Grown Ups” and “Madagascar” franchises, “Head of State,” “Nurse Betty,” “CB4,” “Death at a Funeral,” “I Think I Love My Wife,” “2 Days in New York,” “Dogma” and “New Jack City.”

His television work includes serving as executive producer, writer and narrator for the series “Everybody Hates Chris,” which ran from 2005-2009, and as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” from 1989-1993.

Rock has won four Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards and is a New York Times best-selling author. In addition, he received two nominations for the 2016 Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Director for a Variety Special for “Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo,” and Outstanding Special Class Program for the 88th Annual Academy Awards.

Yondr cases are lockable, flexible, neoprene pouches that assure a phone-free event experience. Upon entry to Hard Rock Live, guests with mobile devices will receive Yondr cases and must secure their devices, including smart watches and cameras, inside the locked cases. Guests will be required to switch their phones to vibrate to avoid disruption from incoming notifications. Doors to Hard Rock Live will open 90 minutes prior to the start of the 8 p.m. show to allow guests ample time to secure his or her mobile devices and take their seats.

It is the responsibility of each guest to maintain possession of their mobile device inside the arena. If needed, guests may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby. Show attendees who access their phone during the performance will be required to leave the arena without ticket refunds.
