Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Presents the "2009 Canon Florida Classic Celebrity Weekend" to Benefit the Nat Moore Foundation, March 21-23
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - The 2009 Canon Florida Classic Celebrity Weekend presented by the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino benefiting the Nat Moore Foundation will take place March 21 - 23, 2009. The proceeds raised from the event will go toward the scholarship programs to help disadvantaged youth in South Florida attend the college of their choice.
The festivities get underway on Saturday March 21 at the Celebrity Party and Auction at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla. A cocktail reception and silent auction will get the night started at 6 p.m. with a celebrity dinner party and live auction to follow at 7 p.m. Movie and television personalities, professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL and other celebrities will be in attendance.
The action continues on Monday as the celebrities hit the links for the 2009 Canon Florida Classic at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa. Registration begins at 7:00 am with a 8:00 am shotgun start on both the Blue Monster and Gold Courses. Scheduled to participate in this year's tournament include, NBA Hall of Famer Julius "Dr. J" Erving, NFL Hall of Famers Dan Marino and Bob Griese. An awards cocktail party will take place immediately following the final putt in the Champions Pavilion.
