Footlighters Club Roast of Comedian Sal Richards to Feature Star-Studded Celebrity Roster

 

Connie Francis, Woody Woodbury, Pat Cooper, Dick Capri, Joe Bologna & Renee Taylor, Ken Adams, Michelle Balan, Connie Stevens, Mark Friedman, Lainie Kazan, Ben E. King, Craig Minervini, Guy Richards, Freddie Roman, David Sayh and Frank Vincent Scheduled to Appear

 

WHAT:           The Footlighters Club will pay tribute to entertainer, actor and comedian Sal Richards with a celebrity roast at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. As part of the festivities, Richards will be awarded the Shecky Greene Lifetime Achievement Award.

 

On-hand to give Sal "the business" will be an impressive array of his celebrity friends including the legendary Connie Francis, Woody Woodbury, Pat Cooper, Dick Capri, Joe Bologna & Renee Taylor, Ken Adams, Michelle Balan, Connie Stevens, Mark Friedman, Lainie Kazan, Ben E. King, Craig Minervini, Guy Richards, Freddie Roman, David Sayh and Frank Vincent. The roast master will be comedian Lou Marsh with Errol Dante producing as well as performing.

 

Sal Richards is an accomplished actor and comedian who has appeared in such films as Rounders, Fighting Back and Love is All There Is. He co-starred with Steven Segal in the film Out for Justice and had a cameo with Harvey Keitel in My Sexiest Year. On television, he has appeared in The Sopranos, Law and Order Criminal Intent and Deadline, and had a starring role in the sitcom Bachelor Life. Over the years, he's appeared on an HBO Comedy Special, Merv Griffin, Make Me Laugh, The Comedy Shop, Dean Martin Show and more. While singing, acting, directing and writing has given Sal an outlet for his creativity, comedy remains his first love. He performs at venues across the nation bringing laughter into the lives of his countless fans.

COST:    The roast, produced by singer-comedian Errol Dante, will begin at noon Friday at the Hard Rock Grand Ballroom. Call 305-651-3823 for information or tickets ($75 for Footlighters Club members, $100 for nonmembers). Proceeds from the social club's roast will benefit indigent entertainers and musicians.
