Seminole Casinos Set to Debut Mega Bad Beat Jackpots in Poker Rooms, December 1

Poker Players Guaranteed Minimum Mega Bad Beat Jackpot of $100,000

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Seminole Casinos are sweetening the poker pot once again by offering poker players a chance to win Mega Bad Beat Jackpots accumulated from all six Seminole Poker Rooms in the State of Florida. The progressive style poker jackpots will debut at all Seminole Casinos including the Poker Room at Seminole Paradise at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Hollywood on December 1, 2009.

Previously the Poker Room at Seminole Paradise had been offering Bad Beat Jackpots to players accrued from its own poker room. On July 13, 2007 a poker player at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Hollywood hit a bad beat jackpot of $382,471. The largest regular bad beat jackpot at a Seminole Casino was at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Tampa where a player on June 9, 2008 hit a Bad Beat Jackpot of $564,905. The new Mega Bad Beat Jackpots will offer players larger bad beat jackpots with more frequency. There will always be a minimum $100,000 Mega Bad Beat Jackpot prize pool guaranteed.

"Based on our current weekly play, we estimate the Mega Bad Beat Jackpot will accrue at about $50,000 a week," said Peter Arsenis, Director of Poker Operations for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Hollywood. "Based on those estimates and the frequency of bad beat hands being dealt, our poker players could have a chance to win $250,000, $500,000, $750,000, $1 million or more Mega Bad Beat Jackpots. Obviously the more play we have in our poker rooms, the more those numbers will go up. That's something no other Non-Seminole casino poker rooms can offer."

The Mega Bad Beat Jackpot will be funded by a $1 contribution from each pot of $10 or greater, from each of the six Seminole Poker rooms in the State of Florida  including Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Hollywood, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Tampa, Seminole Casino - Coconut Creek, Seminole Casino – Hollywood, Seminole Casino - Immokalee and Seminole Casino – Brighton.  Jackpot amounts will be updated on a daily basis at a time designated by management and displayed at all Seminole Poker rooms.

Here's how a poker player can win the Mega Bad Beat Jackpot…Only the top two hands at the showdown are eligible for the Mega Bad Beat Jackpot and both hands must be the best possible combination of five cards. At least four players must be dealt in a qualifying table.  Tables with less than four players will not have a jackpot drop. Multi-table tournaments are excluded from winning the Mega Bad Beat Jackpot.  Single table tournaments are eligible until less than four players remain. Players must play their hands independently.*
