Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to Display Entire Miami GuitarTown Collection and Host Charity Auction Gala in September

Venue to be the Exclusive Broward County Showcase for this Nationally Recognized Public Art Project!

HOLLYWOOD, FLA. - Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be the exclusive Broward County presenter of Miami GuitarTown, a public arts project presented by Gibson Guitar. Seventy ten-foot-tall guitar sculptures and regular size Epiphone Casino showcase guitars, designed by local and nationally acclaimed visual artists, will be on display throughout Miami beginning Wed., Aug. 5, and will move to Seminole Paradise at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for a two-week showcase starting the week of Sept. 8. This fantastic and creative musical display will conclude on Sat., Sept. 26, with a charity auction at Hard Rock Live to benefit The Miami Music & Art Fund, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation and The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood.

Gibson Guitar, the world's premier musical instrument manufacturer, along with the city of Miami, is presenting the city-wide arts project and exhibit. The 70 ten-foot-tall guitar sculptures and showcase guitars are bedecked in colorful and glittering palettes adorned with jewels, studs, charms, mosaic tiles and more. These eye-catching musical marvels will be exhibited throughout Miami at key landmarks, buildings, parks and other popular locations. An official map, provided via the websites of the Miami GuitarTown beneficiaries and partners, will highlight the locations of the guitar collection.

As the only Broward venue participating in the project, official sponsor Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will display one guitar sculpture during the Miami presentation. Then, during the week of Sept. 8, the entire collection of Miami GuitarTown Gibson guitar sculptures, plus three never-seen-before entries, will decorate Seminole Paradise for two weeks. Several of the guitars will be signed by celebrities.

On Sept. 26, the world-renowned Juliens Auctions firm will auction off the guitars at Hard Rock Live. Proceeds will benefit The Miami Music & Art Fund, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation and The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood.

The Miami Music & Art Fund, administered by the Dade Community Foundation, enables grants to be made to talented young Miami students in need of financial assistance for the purchase of musical instruments and art supplies.
