Council Oak Steaks & Seafood Restaurant at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Now Open for Lunch on Saturdays

 

À La Carte Lunch Menu and Two or Three-Course Prix Fixe Menus, Feature New Gourmet Selections and Signature Favorites 

 

Hollywood, Fla. (April 14, 2014) Council Oak Steaks & Seafood restaurant at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has expanded its fine dining experience to offer lunch on Saturdays from noon – 3 p.m. with extended bar hours from 3 – 5 p.m. An a la carte lunch menu and two or three-course prix fixe menus will feature signature favorites and new gourmet selections of appetizers, entrees, salads, desserts and accompaniments.

 

"Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood was in need of a sophisticated fine dining lunch option," said Justin Wyborn, vice president of food and beverage at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Casino Classic and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. "Guests have the option to enjoy an afternoon breeze while dining al fresco style on the Council Oak patio area, with a choice of lighter fare lunch items, as well as signature favorites offered from our dinner menu; all with quick service for additional convenience," he added.

 

"Of special note on the menu is a sumptuous lobster melt sandwich with house made tomato soup on the side, a new creation that Chef David 'Ray' Roach drew from his New England heritage, plus the first time appearance of a true burger at Council Oak with classic and modern sides. For lighter appetites, we recommend the tenderloin tip Steak House Salad with balsamic dressing."

 

The a la carte lunch menu includes gourmet lunch sandwich creations served with house made fries such as the Council Oak Cuban with house made pickles, ham, Swiss cheese, mustard, pork belly croquet and crispy fried yucca ($18), Lobster Griddle with Maine lobster salad, Havarti cheese, grilled potato bread and tomato bisque ($22), Beef Tenderloin with caramelized onions and arugula on toasted ciabatta with bleu cheese and horseradish ($20) and the Council Oak Dry Aged Burger served with lettuce, tomato, brioche, bone marrow mayonnaise and a side of house made fries ($18). A variety of burger enhancements are available ($3 ea.) including Applewood smoked bacon, quail egg, caramelized onions, wild mushrooms, Maytag bleu cheese, aged Vermont cheddar and seared foie gras ($18).

 

Raw bar seasonal clams, oysters, king and colossal stone crab claws are available in addition to popular appetizers Blackened Tenderloin Beef Tips with arugula, red onions and bleu cheese dressing ($14), Jumbo Lump Crab Cake on a bed of tomato, orange marmalade and herb salad ($13), Beef Carpaccio ($16) Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (2 for $10)/ (4 for $20) and soup of the day ($10) or Lobster Bisque ($12).

 

Lighter fare salad offerings include a Steak House Salad ($18), Classic Caesar ($15), Caprese $17, Council Oak Cobb ($18) and Seared Ahi Tuna ($18). 

 

Additions and accompaniments include South African cold water lobster tail (Market Price), Truffle Fries ($9), Garlic Mashed Potatoes ($9), Dauphinoise Potatoes ($9), an Onion Ring Stack ($9) and Council Oak Cream Corn ($9), among others.

 

Sophisticated, yet inviting and friendly, Council Oak offers genuine, 100% U.S.D.A. prime dry-aged stockyard beef, the freshest line-caught seafood from local waters, king crab legs that are flown in fresh from the Bering Sea and an award-winning wine list. Upon entering, guests can peer into the Butcher Shop through a glass-walled partition and interact with the restaurant's butcher to select cuts of meat for an extra, personalized touch.
