Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Presents Star-Studded Classic Rock & Roll Party Hosted by Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain to Benefit HomeSafe on March 2


James Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming, to be Honored with HomeSafe Hero Award


HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (February 15, 2013)  Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will present the next edition of the popular and star-studded charitable The Classic Rock & Roll Party on Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m. The special event will benefit HomeSafe, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of child abuse and domestic violence in South Florida,


This year's party will be hosted by iconic Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain, a true rock and roll legend. One of the most successful bands in music history, Iron Maiden has an unrivaled fan following and has sold over 85 million records around the globe. McBrain has long been a supporter of HomeSafe.  


A sampling of musical acts on this year's bill include hip hop pioneers The Sugarhill Gang ("Rapper's Delight"), original "Soul Man" Sam Moore, R&B songstress Bev Rohlehr and American Idol Top 24 finalist Brett Loewenstern.

During the evening, Bill Clemons, brother of the late legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons, and Rex Kirby, president and GM of Suffolk Construction will present the prestigious HomeSafe Hero Award to James Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming. Through his generosity, Allen, via his personal friendship with Clarence Clemons, helped grow The Classic Rock & Roll Party into one of the top-rated charitable/social events in South Florida. Clemons, until his passing, served as the event's host for many years.


"It's an honor to help continue the vision of Clarence Clemons who was an incredible person and a close friend," said Allen. "We all miss him greatly, but he lives on in our hearts and through the important work of HomeSafe."


More than 500 philanthropic supporters will have the chance to bid on an impressive array of live and silent auction items and will enjoy an energetic and rocking celebrity jam session produced by John Colby, a Grammy and Emmy award-winning composer, producer, music director, and keyboardist. Guiding attendees through the spirited, high-energy evening will be emcee Sam Simon, the multi-talented and internationally-renowned comedian, hypnotist and magician.


The March 2 event will be preceded by a VIP Celebrity golf tournament at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club on Friday, March 1.
