The Heat is On at Seminole Paradise as Tequila Ranch Presents a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of
"La Batalla de Puebla"
Chili Pepper Eating Contest, Authentic Mexican Heritage Performance, Classical & Mariachi Bands and the Famous "Sexiest Bull Rider" Challenge
WHAT: The heat is on at Tequila Ranch during Cinco de Mayo with a spicy celebration commemorating the 150th Anniversary of "La Batalla de Puebla." Join Y-100.7 FM, La Kalle 107.9 FM and WQAM 560 for an all-day cultural and culinary celebration
The party begins at 2 p.m. with house made Al Pastor Taco, Al Carbon kabob and kettle-cooked Carnitas stations plus entertainment and music by DJ Daddy at Center Fountain. All day specials include 2-for-1 Patron Tequilas and Corona beers, plus free shots and commemorative t-shirt and hat giveaways. Strolling Mariachi bands plus live classical Mexican performances will add to the festive ambience.
At 4 p.m., Y-100 hosts the "How Hot Can You Handle?" Chili Pepper Eating Contest. Five contestants will battle to make their way through five chilies starting from the mildest to the hottest: Jalapeno, Serrano, Tabasco, Scotch Bonnet and Habanero. The winners will be awarded $100 in Tequila Bucks.
At 5 p.m., the Mexican Embassy will present an authentic Mexican Heritage show followed by a raffle contest to win two tickets to see MANA at American Airlines Arena on May 11th, $50 in Tequila Bucks and a bottle of Patron Silver!
Then, at 9 p.m., the famous mechanical bucking "Bull" returns for the "Sexiest Bull Rider" Challenge.
