Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida Hires Terri Lutz and Frank Burga; Promotes James Fair to Vice President and William Mason to Director
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida recently announced new hires and promotions. Terri Lutz has been named as director of retail marketing and Frank Burga has been hired as director of bus marketing. Previous Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino director James Fair has been promoted to VP of Security and Transportation and manager William Mason has been promoted to director of poker.
Terri Lutz will oversee the resort's promotions, the Player's Club and bus marketing initiatives in her new position as director of retail marketing. Lutz possesses more than 24 years of marketing and leadership experience in the casino industry. Most recently, she served as director of special events and promotions at Resorts Atlantic City where she managed special events and giveaways, retail promotions, bus marketing and launched a new member acquisition program. At American Casino & Entertainment Properties, also in Atlantic City, Lutz was the executive director of marketing services where she was responsible for all aspects of entertainment, promotions, special events and VIP clubs for the Sands Casino Hotel as well as promotions and player card programs for other properties including The Stratosphere and two Arizona Charlies in Las Vegas and the Aquarius in Laughlin, NV. She has also worked with the Trump Organization in Atlantic City. Lutz attended Stockton State College in Pomona, NJ.
As director of bus marketing, Frank Burga will be responsible for the success of the bus program. Burga joins the Seminole Hard Rock team from Atlantic City where he has 13 years of related experience with the AC Hilton Casino, Caesars Atlantic City, Bally's Atlantic City and the Sands Casino Hotel. Burga began his career as a bus greeter and worked his way up to bus marketing and overnight sales manager, improving the number, frequency and profitability of bus programs at each of the properties where he worked. Burga also was instrumental in training staff at the Sands, the first Atlantic City casino to pioneer non-cash handheld technology.
William Mason has been promoted to director of poker from his previous position of interim director of poker. A casino industry veteran with 23 years of experience, Mason honed his career in Atlantic City, New Jersey at the Sands Casino Hotel before moving to Florida in 1995 to work the day cruise industry. Mason was employed by Casino Pricesa in Miami for seven years where he rose to the positions of director of surveillance and director of casino operations. In 2005, he joined the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as a poker supervisor and was promoted to poker shift manager. He has also held the position of table games shift manger.
Promoted to vice president of security and transportation from his previous position as director of security, James Fair possesses more than 32 years of operations management, training and development experience in the gaming, lodging and private security industries. His expertise covers the areas of guest services, emergency procedures, security, safety, compliance and internal controls. Additionally, he is an experienced liaison for regulatory agencies, gaming owners and/or operators, architects and contractors. Prior to joining the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in 2005, Fair worked as a senior investigator for Shore Integrity Services in New Jersey, as director of security and surveillance operations for Capital Gaming Management Inc. in Phoenix, AZ and in various management capacities for the Trump Organization family of casinos and hotels, Harrah's and Bally's in Atlantic City, NJ.
