Inaugural Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi Charity Poker Tournament to Benefit David Posnack JCC's Preschool/Special Needs Scholarship Fund to Take Place Wed., Jan. 19 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Win $10,000 or Entry into a World Series of Poker Tournament
A $150 buy-in donation will secure a seat in this exciting and charitable tournament. One free re-buy is available if the ticket is purchased by January 7, 2011 (a $25 value). During play, there will be an optional re-buy structure for the first 90 minutes with re-buys of $25 and a $50 add-on.
Mizrachi is a North Miami Beach, Florida native whose success in the poker playing field has garnered him international fame as well as $7.2 million dollars to date . Mizrachi is known as "The Grinder" for his solid consistent playing style, which isn't flashy, but which seems to win the money more often than not. He won the 2010 World Series of Poker's $50,000 buy-in Players Championship, was 2006 Cardplayer of the Year and holds 18 titles including two World Poker Tour titles.
"Each year the David Posnack JCC raises scholarship dollars that provide financial assistance to families in need of preschool, special needs programming, after-school care and summer camp," said Scott Ehrlich, executive director, David Posnack JCC. "Mizrachi's two children attend the JCC's Singer Early Childhood Learning Center and we were thrilled to learn of his generosity in seeking to provide scholarship assistance to help those who need the JCC's programs and services."
