The Seminole Okalee Indian Village was established in the 1960’s as one of the first enterprises of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Inc. Proud of its history and heritage, the Tribe is equally proud of its progress. The Seminole Okalee Indian Village also features authentic Seminole arts & crafts, wildlife habitats, and information on history of the Seminole tribe. Our Gift Shop features genuine hand-made items such as dolls, basketry, clothing, bead-work, and woodcraft all produced by Seminole Tribal members. We hope your visit brings a deeper understanding of this pride and the Seminoles’ rich history in the Everglades. Come see how the Seminoles formed a bridge to the future by honoring the past.
